A view of the certain.

I conducted a funeral over the weekend for my aunt who was 54 years old (just turned 54). When I first heard the news I had to wonder where did she end up? Heaven or Hell? I know that years before she had prayed to receive Christ, but her life was one of struggles she struggled with addiction to alcohol and drugs, and was always trying but not arriving, never really moving into mature christian life.
What was I to fall back on for the message was there hope? was there a glimmer of the life to come? Yes, I think there was (is) what I know is that we are saved by grace through faith not of works lest any of us boast in our own power to save ourselves. Ep 2:8-9. I also know from the parable of the seeds that 3/4 actually grow! some for not too long, some grow but are choked out, and the rest grow and produce fruit, with the first group (1/4 ) being plucked away and never growing (the seed never becomes anything but food for the birds).
So where do I stand in the face of uncertainty I stand on the Rock that is higher than I whose ways are not my ways, who is certain when all else is not, who is faithful even when we are unfaithful. That's where I stand.

It's starting to look a lot like Ezekiel 38

Wow almost finished a new book titled "Atomic Iran" it lays out a clear conclusion that Iran is seeking to develop Nuclear weapons and plans to use them. Then with Russia inviting Hamas to Moscow for discussions (basically a victory dinner) we could be watching the formation of the group that attacks Israel in Ezekiel 38 -39. Then to top things off a pastor recently quoted Russia as saying that " what can we do we have a hook in our mouths" supposedly in an article in newsweek. I'm yet to read it but am looking for it. I'll let you know when I find it.

Penny Micro Chip

Well it finally happened the FDA approved a micro chip that can implanted in humans, it is now on the market and can hold quite a bit of info. Hey if immigration remains a problem maybe only those with chips will be recognized as citizens at least that way it might be harder to duplicate. Could get scary.

Vladmir tours Israel

Vladmir Putin is throwing his hat and country in the ring as world peace makers as he toured the Holy land this week, redeveloping ties between the two nations which has been strained since 1968. Knowing that the anti-christ will broker peace for the Jews to rebuild their temple it's interesting to see all the various players rising to the fore front. Including newly elevated Pope Benidict XVI who sees his role as one of bringing unity by saying " In his footsteps (Benedict XV) , I place my ministry in the service of reconciliation and harmony between peoples".

Turkey likes Hitler

In an AP news article in March (March 25 in the Press Enterprise) Hitler's Book "Mein Kampf" is flying off the shelves in Turkey, which is evidence of a growing anti-Jewish sentiment. Chuck Missler mentions Turkey as a nation to watch believing that they will have a role in the last days. Turkey also just signed a treaty with Russia, which could be an interesting twist in the coming years.

Walking on Water

In light of recent world events i.e a new pope. Considering a book I had read a couple years ago, brought to my mind that this could be the last pope. That aside it seems that the world is being set for the end times. Which brings me to the title of this blog "The 4th watch" In mark 7 Jesus sends His Disciples ahead of him in the boat, and comes walking to them on water in the 4th watch of the night, which is the last watch of the night. Could this be an example of how Jesus will return to get the church in the last days.
This passage states that He saw them struggling and came to them in the 4th watch, maybe as the church struggles against the winds of mindless thought and others things opposed to God in this 4th watch of human history, we have hope that Jesus will be coming soon. My hope is to make mention here of some of those I find interesting that may apply to an ends times scenerio, I'm not an end times scholar I just find some things interestingly fit biblical predictions.
